What the heck is "digital wellbeing" and why is it important? In a nutshell, digital wellbeing is the state of having a healthy relationship to technology; A balanced relationship where you employ technology in service of your needs, values, and aspirations, rather than as an unconscious habit that monopolizes your life.

We have allowed the distractive powers of technology to hijack our most precious life resources: time and attention.

This has led to an epidemic of anxiety and distraction that stifles our ability to be present with each other, enjoy each other, and flourish as individuals & family units.

We have the power to reframe our relationship to technology, set boundaries, and purposefully employ it in service our needs, values, and aspirations.

Families are happier, healthier, and safer when parents have the insights & skills enabling them to confidently navigate parenthood in the age of digital distraction.

We offer several programs to meet the needs of individual families and entire communities of parents. Here's a quick overview of our most popular formats, and we can explore other possibilities together to best suit you or your community.

PRIVATE CONSULTATION

PRIVATE 1-ON-1 SESSION FOR PARENTS

 

Over the course of two private sessions together, we'll work together to identify the problem areas and unhealthy tech habits that are holding you and your children from thriving in the digital age, develop a custom plan of action that works for your family that we'll work together to put into action and optimize.

This is a private session with the parent(s)/guardian(s) from a single household.

WHAT YOU'LL GET

  • Time to Experiment with New Rules

HOW IT WORKS

 

1. You Complete the Digital Habit Inventory

At least 48 hours before we do the first session, you'd take no more than 15 mins to complete a Digital Habits Inventory – just answering some simple questions multiple choice / short answer questions about your digital wellbeing goals and digital habits/challenges.​

 

2. You receive a Digital Wellbeing Report Card

After reviewing the goals and info you share, I would prepare a digital wellbeing report card, analysis, and plan of action that you will receive and get to keep after the first session.

3. First Virtual Consultation Session (90-120min)

In our first session we'd review the report card results, I'd share insights, we'd look at some recommended solutions, and agree on a plan of action for changing habits, creating new habits, and taming digital distractions. You'll commit to certain habit changes, additions, or tactics you want to implement from the plan.

4. You Test Drive The Solutions

After first session, you will have 7-14 days to test drive the action plan to see what works and what challenges come up.

5. Final Virtual Consultation Session (60 min)

Our second session together is designed to identify what parts of the plan are truly working, and identify challenges that we need to optimize the plan for. We'll finalize your plan of action together, and you'll leave with a clear path forward, confidence to handle new questions that emerge, and a details plan of action to refer to any time you need it.

GROUP SEMINARS & WORKSHOPS

GROUP SESSIONS FOR PARENTS/EDUCATORS

Bring together a group of parents from your school or community for a seminar or workshop that will give you the knowledge and specific recommendations to take action towards creating a healthier relationship with technology in your homes, community, and school.

These sessions are designed for groups of parents/guardians from homes throughout your community, parent group, or school.

WHAT YOU'LL GET

Seminar + Q&A Format

Our group programs can be delivered as an educational seminar including time for open question/answer forum to ask questions of a digital wellbeing expert. This is a great option for laying down a foundation of digital wellbeing awareness and education.

Interactive Workshop Format

Our group programs can be delivered as an interactive workshop designed to address specific problems or needs parents across your community/school are struggling with. This is a great option for groups of parents who are ready to take digital wellbeing to the next level, and want to collaborate on creating specific solutions to problems they're struggling with in their communities and homes.

GROUP FORMATS INCLUDE

  • SPECIFIC solutions to the major digital wellbeing issues families and kids are facing today - not just high-level concepts.

  • One in-person seminar with Q&A, or one in-person interactive workshop.

  • Sessions can run from 60-120 mins.

  • Follow-up materials, guides, and recommended reading/resources.

  • Optional 1-on-1 or group follow-up call.

HOW IT WORKS

 

  • Schedule a call so we can explore a seminar/workshop format, length, and topic focus that's right for your needs.

  • We'll work with you to organize a time and place to host the session.

  • Purposeful will take care of facilitating the session for you and all who attend.

  • Following the session, we'll send out follow-up materials and resources to all who attended.

  • We'll reach out to schedule optional 1-on-1 or group follow-up calls.

 

I'm GIANCARLO AND I'M HERE TO HELP.

I spent a career studying the ways technology influences humanity while working at companies like Facebook, Instagram, Apple, and the world's largest ad agencies; and by partnering with leaders in education, mental health, and child wellness research and advocacy.

 

Now, through Purposeful's workshops and parent coaching program, I've worked with families across the country to lead them through the process of transforming their relationship to distractive digital technology.
